Gilead Sciences Postdoctoral Fellowship
Gilead Sciences Research Center at Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry (GSRCP) announces the opening of the 'Gilead Sciences Postdoctoral Fellowship' in the fields of organic and medicinal chemistry, molecular biology, biochemistry, and theoretical chemistry. The starting date of the Fellowship program is January 1, 2007.
The eligible applicant should meet the following criteria:
- to have received Ph.D. degree in the field of medicinal, organic, computational chemistry, biochemistry, or molecular biology within the last five years,
- have a decent list of scientific publications,
- be able to present two letters of recommendation from distinguished scientists,
- be in contact with the leader of GSRCP research team in whose laboratory he/she intends to work and the collaboration must be mutually agreed (contacts for the group leaders can be found on www.uochb.cas.cz/GSRC).
The application should contain brief Curriculum Vitae, list of published papers, and two letters of reference.
The successful candidates will receive:
- one-year contract in the selected group of GSRCP with possible one-year extension,
- a salary of 22.000 EUR/year (subject to mandatory taxes; please note that the living expenses in the Czech Republic are substantially lower than in the Western Europe or USA).
- assistance to find reasonably priced accommodation and help with acquiring visa and other necessary administration related to his/her stay in the Czech Republic (e.g., work permit for citizens of non-EU countries).
